Who We Are

Our Philosophy
To help people engage more deeply with learning and life through intentional design that cultivates curiosity, self-awareness, and connection.
Groundwork Studios exists to help people make sense of complexity — in their work, their learning, their bodies, and their lives — so they can grow with clarity, confidence, and integrity.
We do this by combining learning strategy, research, storytelling, community practice, and embodied experience to support whole-human growth. Our approach is grounded, thoughtful, and practical, helping individuals and organizations move from confusion to understanding, and from understanding to meaningful action.
Our Branches
The Founder
Allison Knuth (she/her)
I am a learning strategist, artist, yoga instructor, and facilitator—as well as an auntie, sister, partner, friend, and reader.
My path has been... nonlinear to say the least. I’ve worked as a dance teacher, yoga teacher, facilitator, compositional improvisation artist, professional dancer, arts administrator, barista, graphic designer, and instructional designer. Along the way, I’ve seriously studied theater, dance, art, design, education, yoga, and sociology. Each role sharpened a different way of seeing: how people learn, how systems shape experience, how bodies hold knowledge, how stories create meaning, and how structure can either support or stifle growth.
Groundwork Studios is the natural outcome of that synthesis. It is a place where learning strategy, community gathering, social insight, and embodied practice coexist — not as separate offerings, but as expressions of the same core belief: that people grow best when they can make sense of their experiences as whole humans.
